A Dharma Ocean Virtual Course in Vajrayana for Our Time 

This course, open to people at all levels of practice, will explore the approach, perspective, and view of Vajrayana Buddhism—known as the "Diamond" or Tantric Vehicle — especially as it may be relevant in our current global environment.  

Over the last few decades, increasing numbers of people have received some form of empowerment, transmission, or other initiation into Vajrayana practice. Many others are interested in taking up the practice, or at least learning more about it.  At the same time, even for many practitioners, it can be challenging to understand exactly what Vajrayana is, how it is distinctive, and what we might hope to accomplish through engaging with its practices. This course will explore these issues in a format including talks, guided meditations, and discussion, supplemented by readings in the tradition.  The course is open to all, whether or not they have received Vajrayana teachings in the past.
