Dharma Ocean Retreat
COVID Protocols
Ā
Dharma Ocean has the safety and welfare of all retreatants at heart, and it is in this spirit that we are providing our policy and guidelines. While this policy is our way to support you, it is still an honor system in which retreatants are asked to be considerate of others and seek health care advice at the first sign of potential illness.Ā
As you travel:
In consideration of the overall health of the retreat container, please exercise care during travel to limit possible exposure to Covid, Flu and other airborne viruses.
Upon arrival:
At registration participants will be provided with a rapid test that they will be asked to self-administer. Registration staff will be available to monitor results and support administration of the test.Ā
During the retreat:
Rapid tests will be provided to all participants to test on arrival day of the retreat. Assuming all negative results, this will conclude our testing. Testing days may be adjusted based on circumstances.
Masking:
Please bring your own supply of high quality masks (preferably N95 or KN95) with you to retreat. Masking is your option, except if you develop symptoms or test positive to COVID during the retreat.
Staff will arrange seating in the shrine hall to maintain social distancing.
Any participant who has a fever or persistent cough (whether Covid-related or not), must not enter the meditation Hall.
Please Note: We will do our best to make accommodationsĀ for participants to have access to the teachings if they are not well enough to be in the meditation hall.
In the case of a positive COVID test on arrival:
You will not be able to attend the retreat, and you will receive a refund of your registration fees.
In the case of a positive COVID test during retreat:
Participants who test positive while on retreat will be supported by the retreat staff until symptoms cease and they test negative. Once symptoms cease, tests will be provided once a day.
Food will be delivered to individuals that are self isolating, and where possible designated bathroom facilities will be assigned. Individuals who test positive must wear masks whenever leaving their room to use the bathroom.
Because Dharma Ocean does not have medical staffing, anyone who requires medical attention will be transported to the appropriate facilities.
